Matt Smith has stated categorically that he will definitely be back in the role of The Doctor for season 8 in 2014. In a recent interview with The Sun to mark the broadcast this weekend of the final episode of season 7, “The Name of The Doctor”, Smith made it very clear that he will be back for a new season of Doctor Who adventures. “I’m on a break for a couple of months while I’m in Detroit making How To Catch A Monster,” he told the Sun. “We come back and shoot the Christmas special over the Summer, then we go on to the next series, which will either start filming at the end of this year or at the start of 2014.” This last bit suggests that Doctor Who will take about a year off and will likely … Continue reading →

Fox’s Kiefer Sutherland vehicle Touch will not be returning for a third season as the network announces its cancellation. The show, although a clever one, has simply been a victim of poor ratings and as Tim Kring recently said, it looks like people have simply not found the show. “In this day and age, when you can find content on so many different platforms, we’re hoping that the second season then feeds into people wanting to watch the first season, finding it online or finding it on DVD,” he said It looks like that hasn’t happened. Good news though, there is the possibility of Kiefer Sutherland returning to the Jack Bauer role for a limited new outing of 24 (deep joy).
