Dale Horvath It isn’t exactly clear where in the USA where the relatively elderly Dale is from originally, but we know that he was married to a woman called Erma for many years. They had tried to have a child once, but Erma miscarried and they never tried again. Some while later, Erma developed cancer, and Dale took her to several doctors, but Erma had accepted her fate, much to Dale’s dismay. When he retired from his job, Dale bought an RV with the intention of taking his wife on a cross country tour, but unfotunately Erma died before he got the chance. Dr. Diego ‘Doc’ Soto Diego Soto first visited Alcatraz prison when he was five years old and has been fascinated with the place ever since. Born to parents who were both Stanford University professors, he was raised in San Francisco and soaked up all the information he could about Alcatraz. He has been described by Garcia as an Alcatraz encyclopedia. When he was eleven, Doc Soto experienced a major traumatic event but although she is aware of it, Rebecca is yet to discover what the event was as the Doc is not yet ready to discuss it. Bo It’s not really clear where Bo is from originally, but what is known is that she was given up for adoption by her birth mother Aife. She was adopted by Mary and Sam Dennis and grew up unaware that she was different. That all changed at the age of 18 when she had her first sexual encounter with her boyfriend and she inadvertently drained him of his life force, killing him. Since then, Bo has been on the run, using her ingenuity to create new identities for herself to evade capture. Bo initially doesn’t know what she is. Due to the death of her parents, Rebecca Madsen was raised by Ray Archer, a retired police detective and former guard on Alcatraz. Partly due to being raised in such an environment and with fairly heavy influence from Ray, Rebecca became a police officer, progressive to homicide detective. Rebecca has another link to The Island though, in that her grandfather, Thomas Madsen was a resident, so to speak and was also one of the 63s, the group of prisoners who disappeared from Alcatraz. Up until now, she had always thought her grandfather was a guard on the island but recent events have revealed the truth.
