Falling Skies has received an order from TNT for 10 more episodes to be screened in 2013. The show has proved popular with viewers in not only the USA but also in other countries as well. It has been one of the highest rated cable shows in the USA during the Summer and this led to rumours last month that a season three was inevitable, but now it’s official. The head of programming at TNT, Michael Wright said “Falling Skies is television storytelling at it’s very best, a powerful drama that’s told on both an epic scale and on a deeply personal level.” “We can’t wait to see what DreamWorks Television and Falling Skies’ terrific production team and cast members have in store for season three.” Cool.

Sinbad Premieres 7pm Sunday 8th July Sinbad Show Notes If you are in the UK, as I am, then don’t miss out on Sky One’s latest fantasy TV series to hit our screens. The first episodes of Sinbad premieres tonight (Sunday 8th July) on Sky One at 7pm. Featuring some well known faces, such as Naveen Andrews ex of Lost who plays Lord Akbari, our hero’s nemesis, Sinbad is also a vehicle for some new and inspiring talent. Elliot Knight for example who plays Sinbad himself has come straight from drama school into a potentially career defining role. The production, I think you’ll agree from the trailer below, looks top notch. I’m really looking forward to this show.

Alcatraz Pays Homage to Bullitt Alcatraz Show Notes Ok, so I’m a bit behind the times on this one. My first excuse is that I live in the UK so we’re a little bit behind with most TV shows. My second excuse though is that with Alcatraz having been cancelled I have been less than motivated to watch it all the way to the end because I knew disappointment was going to follow. I had several episodes queued up on my hard drive TV recorder and my wife wanted to clear them out, so I thought what the heck, and watched them back to back. I’m glad I did now, because the final episode of Alcatraz, was in my opinion the best of the lot and set the series up for what would have been … Continue reading →

Warehouse 13 Season 4 Gets a New Face Warehouse 13 Show Notes He’s no stranger to the science fiction genre as his is one of the most memorable characters from the Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series as well as the movie franchise. Brent Spiner’s character of Data in TNG was a lovable and innocent one, but as he joins the cast of Warehouse 13, Spiner will be taking on a character with quite a different set of morals. Brent Spiner plays Brother Adrian who is part of the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Black Diamond which in turn is a sect descended from the original Knights Templar.
