The Walking Dead – Season 1 on DVD and Blu-Ray

Cop Rick Grimes wakes up in hospital after a gunshot wound puts him in a coma. However, nothing is normal when Rick wakes up. For starters, the hospital is abandoned. He soon realises that he is either still in a coma and therefore having a nightmare or the World he once knew has gone forever. The dead are walking the streets and feeding on the living, and even though a full scale zombie apocalypse is in full swing all around him, Rick decides that he must get to his family, whatever it takes.

Nearby, in a small camp on the outskirts of a zombie ravaged Atlanta, a small group of survivors has banded together in order to stay alive. Rick finds the group, among them his wife and son, and becomes their leader.

Can the group survive? Will the pressures of the situation cause the total failure of all sense of decency among the human population?

AMC’s The Walking Dead is an epic, survival adventure series from the director of The Shawshank Redemption and the producer of The Terminator and Aliens, and arguably one of the best TV shows to come out of 2010.

The DVD and Blu-Ray packages are similarly well put together as can be seen by the impressive list of extras below.
