Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries all Renewed

The CW have announced that they have ordered new seasons for three genre shows, namely Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries.

At one point Supernatural was in danger of being cancelled as it was felt it had run its course but the show, now renewed for a ninth season seems to be going from strength to strength and it wouldn’t surprise me to see seasons 10 and 11 as well.

The Vampire Diaries is now established as a firm favourite too and will return for a fifth season, while newcomer Arrow has quickly become a hit and we will see the return of Stephen Amell in the titualar role for a second season.

The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz had this to say, “We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit Arrow and fan favourite Supernatural on Wednesday night, and the continued success of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that,”

“Not only do Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season.”
