Da Vinci’s Demons is not a series I would have considered adding to Scifi TV Guide but since reading an article on the SFX website this morning, I am more than a little intrigued. SFX have stated that they “can confirm that the show is very much in our territory”. They have apparently also been sworn to secrecy so unfortunately I don’t know what it is about the show that makes it Scifi / Fantasy.
However, if it’s good enough for SFX then it’s good enough for me, so I have created a Da Vinci’s Demons page which you can take a look to read what we know so far.
David S. Goyer, who scripted The Dark Knight trilogy and the Blade trilogy is the man in charge and he has said that his vision of Leonardo Da Vinci owes a lot to modern comic book movies like Batman Begins. He went on to say that he treated Leonardo more like a superhero of the time and so embelished what would have been a straightforward historical drama to turn it into a historical fantasy.
Da Vinci’s Demons will be premiering on FX in the UK shortly after its premiere in the US on the 12th April. In the meantime, here is the latest trailer for the show.
