Caroline John, the British actress who was probably best known for playing Doctor Who’s assistant Liz Shaw alongside John Pertwee in four of his adventures in the 1970′s, and again in 1983′s The Five Doctors has died at the age of 72. She also worked on a number of audio and straight to video spin-offs.
Although not in possession of a driving licence at the time John even got to drive the Docto’s car, Bessie.
Relatively recently she appeared in episodes of Doctors, Midsomer Murders and Silent Witness.
