Syfy have pleased a lot of fans this week by announcing that they have commissioned Lost Girl for a third season. Although it is not a Syfy original programme, it’s actually Canadian in origin, it is in the US where Lost Girl gets its biggest audience.

If you are new to the show, Lost Girl follows Bo, played by Anna Silk, who has recently found out that she isn’t human after all, even though she was raised as human by her adoptive parents. She is in fact a Succubus, a creature that lives off the sexual energy of others. After going on the run following the inadvertent killing of her first lover, Bo falls in with a group called the Fae which is a group of different kinds of supernatural beings who help her discover and accept her true identity.

The first two seasons have performed quite well on Syfy and has become the number one cable drama in the Monday 10pm time slot (in the USA). We will see how it performs in season 3 though, because the network executives in their infinite wisdom have moved it to Friday at 10pm.
