| The Walking Dead Finale Breaks Viewing Records |
|
The Walking Dead season 2 finale was broadcast in the USA on AMC’s cable channel on 18th March and broke records as it did so.

|
By attracting 10.5 million viewers it set the record as the most watched cable show ever in the US. That figure is also nearly double the amount of viewers the series premiere attracted on 31st October 2010.

The series has been going from strength to strength in spite of (or maybe even because of) it’s willingness to kill off major characters. The season 2 mid-season premiere attracted 8.1 million viewers and since then we have seen The Walking Dead writers kill off Dale and Shane. It was almost inevitable after the buzz of anticipation created for the season finale that it was going to get some impressive figures.

We already can’t wait for season 3. The Walking Dead season 2 finale will broadcast in the UK on FX at 10pm on Friday 23rd March.
