True Blood

Sookie Stackhouse is a cocktail waitress in Bon Temps, Louisiana. She has always considered herself an outsider because of the gift she has. This gift, which Sookie always considered to be a curse, is telepathy.

However, one night, a member of the undead, a vampire, walked into her life and turned it upside down. The dashing 173 year old vampire called Bill Compton is a bit of a mystery and he intrigues Sookie.

Now, the existence of vampires is not exactly a secret as they have now become citizens of the World since a Japanese scientist managed to synthesise blood, meaning that they wouldn’t have to feed on humans. Some people though, are, understandably a little apprehensive about having vampires living amongst them. Sookie however, is not one of them. She has learned to be open minded, but even her tolerance has its limits and those limits are severely tested by the situations Sookie is drawn into with Bill.

True Blood is a TV series about vampires which is as sexy as things are likely to get on mainstream television. The series is based upon the Southern Vampire book series by Charlaine Harris.
