It has been almost 30 years since Dr Samuel Beckett made what turned out to be his final leap, never to return home. Now, a follow-up series is on the way in the form of a reboot set 30 years after the original and with all new characters and some new ideas.
Whilst it is a reboot aimed at bringing on board a new audience, it will also respect the continuity and lore of the original series which starred Scott Bakula as Samuel Beckett. One of the changes that will be made to way that stories are told is that we will see more of what is going on in the background within the top-secret government time travel project that the new character, Ben, played by Raymond Lee will be a part of. Having said that, the original ‘waiting room’ will not be brought into the new show.
The new Quantum Leap will be with us in September 2022. In the meantime, check out the first look trailer below.
