The World as we now know it has ended. An epidemic of proportions previously unimagined has circled the globe and has caused the dead to rise and begin feeding on those still left alive. In only a few short months our society has crumbled to a point where we are just aiming to survive at any cost in a World ruled by the dead.
Rick Grimes, a small-town police officer from Georgia, has been shot and wounded in the line of duty and falls into a coma. He eventually awakes, finds himself all alone in an abandoned hospital and learns that the world is now full of zombies. He sets out to try and find his family and, with the help of other fellow survivors, attempts to battle the zombie hoards in order to stay alive.
